Call for Industry Presentations
The Department of Organizational Leadership and Supervision in the College of Technology at Purdue University is seeking Best Practices in collaboration, innovation, and leadership to be shared at the 2nd Annual Conference on Collaboration & Innovation to be held at Purdue University from September 15-17, 2009. Best Practices defined as having demonstrated business or process results which exceeded expectations of stockholders and customers and which can be easily adapted by other organizations. Techniques particularly applicable to current economic situations are especially sought after. Interactive sessions have been well received and useful to participants. The program committee invites presenters who can share relevant topics of interest especially appealing to an audience of directors, vice presidents, trainers, organizational specialists, union representatives, lean and six-sigma professionals, plant managers, program and project managers, human resource professionals, industrial/organizational psychologists, researchers, TQM professionals, change agents, consultants, supervisors and team leaders within 90 minute sessions or 3-hr workshops.
Industry audience profile includes manufacturing of consumer products, utilities, pharmaceuticals, transportation, government, health care, automotive, aviation, military, not-for-profit organizations and many more.

All proposals must be submitted electronically using this submission utility prior to May 31, 2009 and must contain the following information:

- Presentation Format
- Individual Presentations: An interactive “hands-on” session showcasing best practice processes tools and learning techniques that can be adapted to other organizations.
- Team Presentation: A presentation by an intact work team or work group of at least three members sharing a best practice they have implemented.
- Panel Presentation: Current issues addressed by experts from a variety of companies and/or industries and moderated by a panel chairperson.
- Special Interest Forum: Facilitated open discussion by coaches, team members, leaders, or others with similar job responsibilities. Submit as facilitator of forum.
- Presentation Title
- The presentation title should be descriptive yet concise and without ambiguity
- Presentation Abstract
- 50-100 words in length describing subject matter, content and delivery method such as audience participation, role-play, simulation or group dynamics
- Attendees will choose to attend sessions based on this information
- Abstract will be used in conference program to be distributed to all attendees
- Presentation Objective
- List objectives in order of importance
- List appropriate audience
- Identify level of subject matter: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced
Requirements to Present
- Be available to present on the day and time assigned to you
- Prepare and provide necessary handouts for attendees
- Present the information as described in the proposal
